My stance on "uncapping":
Talking about how you can "uncap" a cable modem is legal -
actually stealing bandwidth is illegal and a bad practice. If you
don't know what "uncapping" is, this book is one possible source of
information:
"Hacking the Cable Modem: What Cable Companies Don't want You to Know"
by DerEngel.
Please mind your language when posting - I don't have the
